How I grow Loofah (zone 8a):
1. Plant seeds directly in soil outdoors after the threat of frost has passed.
2. Provide a sturdy trellis for climbing vines.
3. Harvest young for eating or allow them to fully mature for sponges. Let them dry out and turn brown on the vine for harvesting the best seeds to replant
